Mission Waco Road Race -- Oct 14

This will be a division II, Texas Cup road race, sanctioned by the Texas Bike Racing Association and the United States Cycling Federation. This is a USCF, competitive road race. The racers will range from novice to professionals and will be competing at distances ranging from 26 to 96 miles. The race is between the McGregor, Lorena, and Bruceville-Eddy areas.

To make this race a success, we will need lots of volunteers to help with set-up, registration, corner
marshals, lead and follow vehicles, and clean-up. We are in desperate need of lead and follow vehicles and corner marshals. We will need volunteers from 7 a.m. until approximately 12 p.m. The Waco Bicycle Club is the sponsoring club, and Derek Gilliland is acting as the volunteer promoter. Every penny left over after paying prize money, police support, USCF fees, and other required expenses will be donated to Mission Waco for use in their many charitable endeavors. If anyone is interested in helping have them e-mail Derek at or call 315-0867.
