    tonight's meeting...

i forgot to bring up a lot of stuff...like the tax id, the NORBA race, and s+eve's bald head. but damnit, s+eve, you weren't bald. what happened, man? think of all that extra wind resistance now.

oh yeah, good deal on the bikes. big thanks to Carly, and whoever else put that together. question, though....once we get them, are we going to be able to upgrade stuff on our own? pour example, i'm working with a guy by the name of Joe Young (www.joeyoungwheels.com) on getting some wheels built, and also a King headset (need all the cart bearing i can get). that won't annoy anyone, will it?

steve's bald head i have no comment on....but the tax stuff is still the same situation
we are pending tax exempt status, we are incorporated and the papers are in the hands of red tape loving government folk
which means we have no control on how long the acceptance will take
ACS is writing recipts for checks
if companies have an issue that we dont have a tax exempt number yet, ask them if you can come back when it is finalized
another option we have explored (dont know if it will work) have them make a donation to ACS in our name, that way they are making it to a tax exempt organization, then we would keep 1/3 of whatever that donation is in the way of our personal fundraising
dont quote me on that, well i wrote it so it is quoted, but it may be a possibility

    Carly

I have had a few people who have written me checks ask about tax stuff. I think that I have all the answers but I just want to make sure. The biggest checks that I have gotten from individuals are a few for $200. Do these people need some sort of reciepts? It has been a long break and I have somewhat forgotten. Please let me know.

Hey, my helmets fit now, plus I have wrinkles in my head that are noticable when you cut too close. Not that I care or anything, but wrinkles probably add a little more wind resistance. besides, if i went with a razor, there'd be hair stuck in the valleys.

I'll definately put my current seat on. I think the rule is keep the same components as everyone else. The big thing is to have interchangable parts for easy switching out. Wheels and a King headset shouldn't matter, provided the hub is shimano compatible. I think it'd be good for everyone to customize thier bikes a little. This allows easy identification versus 30 others.
