Easy Paydirt - *NO TOOLS REQUIRED! Williamson County

We're going to start looking to re-route existing trail at Granger Lake, which is about 20 miles east of Georgetown down Hwy. 29. This is the first step in getting MORE trail out there. The Army Corps of Engineers has over 11,000 acres of Wildlife Management Area in which they would like to see natural surface, multi-use trail. If you like Walnut Creek, this trail could be for you. If you're interested in learning the trail building process, becoming a trail steward, or simply need paydirt, contact me by phone, PM, or email for the details concerning meeting place. This particular day will be limited to three people not including myself.

    9 AM - 12 noon

Driving time from Parmer and I-35 is less than one hour on Sunday mornings.

*I lied. We'll be using a clinometer and flagging tape to determine and mark the suggested re-routes. If you don't know how to use a clino, I'll show you how.

We had four people total: me, Chuck, Andrew, and Brent. Thanks for helping us solve some of their sustainability issues.

We re-routed several sections, some of which are under water when the lake rises above normal. More work days of this nature will follow upon approval by the ACoE.
