    Question Davis Mtns State Park

Has anyone ridden the trail at Davis Mtn State Park? The TPWD website says it's an intermediate 3.5 mile loop. Contemplating a trip out there toward the end of March and I want to play in the dirt some if the trails are worthwhile. Any input would be appreciated!

Take a road bike. I didn't take my mountain bike last September, but I did walk a mile or so on the trails. I have heard something about trails at Balmorhea, but I don't know for sure. I can say, don't go to Ft Davis just to ride your mountain bike.

Its a shame but true. The place could be destination-worthy.

It's a bad word to say roadie, but the 75 mile loop is truly pretty sweet.

Yes, a must for a road bike. Roadie heaven during the right time of year. Ride up to the observatory if you're up for it.
