So a lot has happened and not happened with this. PARD opened a committee of people dedicated to building trail out there. So far there are all types, walkers, some mountain bikers. I stepped up and decided to share all my gps files I have out there and FINALLY got a park boundaries kml file I could drop into google earth so I could FINALLY stop guessing when I was on park property or not. Here is my google earth map of a "green" loop already out there and the park boundries.

    From Copperas Cove PARD:

    Good Afternoon,

The first Ogletree Gap Hike and Bike trail meeting was a success! We had a solid meeting last night, discussing many areas on developing a trail head within Ogletree Gap Park (Attached meeting agenda).

Below you will find a link, please follow that link and vote which day works best for you for the next meeting. Once majority has voted, I will send out a meeting request with the selected date. This meeting will take place at the park and we will walk what we are calling the “green” trail (The trail we would like to start with in regards to establishing), while also looking at another pedestrian access point to the trail head and a few other arduous trail/higher difficulty level heads to potentially develop. During this 1st meeting, as we walk the green trail head, we will mark with trail marking tape and flags.

Attached you will find the meeting agenda and the Ogletree Gap plat.
Check out that link and vote and come out if you have vested interest in a park with great potential that's not too far from Austin. Park is 200 acres basically untouched land. Hopefully that itches some of you trailbuilder designer types. Personally I voted for the 9th. Take care.

Work day this Saturday 6/2/2018 at 9:00 AM on the East Williamson Creek Greenbelt. This will be to move bags of ready mix concrete to the job site and place them to form a crib wall. When this is done, the entire trail will be rideable.
