Is Pivot Phoenix your new stage name? It's got a nice ring to it.

I nearly shit my pants at that jump/drop at 2:40. Was riding with Chance Lehman and he didn't warn me at all. You pop over that jump and the trail just falls away from you. I'll toss up the 'oh my f*cking god' vid of that later.

I hit park for 4 days after 4 days of back country riding. We were a little oriented towards the Enduro stage runs so I didn't get to see everything. It is so sick though and so much speed! I made a quick campfire edit from one of our runs and I have hours of footage to play with over the next few weeks.

I did get rolled up pretty good on that gap jump towards the bottom of World Cup. It was on the 2nd day and I was feeling frisky, starting to get a feel for the jumps, but not so much that I was sending it like you need to clear that gap. I took a pretty good tumble and completely exploded my gimbal (it smashed into my chest, pretty sure I at least bruised a rib). Unfortunately the gimbal had flipped out at the top of that particular run so the camera was off. Would have been great to see.

Quick #campfireedit, low res so I could get it uploaded via cell service, heh

This looks like a ton of fun. As someone who has never been to a bike park and isn't particularly skilled at mountain biking (I also don't think I'm particularly terrible, but I'm mostly a roadie and have mtb'd on and off over the years).... how good should one be before making a trip out to a place like Angel Fire and how much bike should you have? It would suck to head out there and be able to do like only one trail.

I recommend Angelfire to anyone. it has a great variety of trails and difficulties. very easy green trails, to easy blues, to harder blues, and then the black rated trails.

anyone of any skill level will have a blast as long as they ride within their limits. it will also be a HUGE confidence booster when you come back to Austin and ride normal trails.

I'm happy to answer any questions you may have!
