    Family Funduro this weekend

    https://www.bikereg.com/34871/The-Family-Funduro and https://trailpartymtb.com/family-funduro

Never did see a thread for this. Gonna be a chill race with a fun, mellow vibe. Stuff for non-racers to do. Great for anyone who wants to give this style of racing a shot on a smaller scale than some of the bigger events.

Added two new classes, beginner and expert:

Beginner - Newer rider and no racing experience.

Amatuer/Age Group - You've raced an enduro before but didn't podium. Also for folks who have not raced an enduro but have raced in other disciplines like XC, BMX or DH.

Expert - You've sat on an enduro podium or you wanna challenge yourself against the fastest amateurs.

Pro - If you're pro, ya know...ya know???

It was a lot of fun. Hadn't been to Flat Creek in over a decade. It was my first enduro and was exactly what I needed. Low pressure and just riding around with a mix of folks. Loved it. Really well-run.

The event was tons of fun! Really fun to pin it on downhills, but chill while cruising in between stages and waiting to start. I wrecked pretty good and didn't finish last, so it was a great success. I'll be doing more enduros.

I was able to make it out as well. +1 on the fun factor. My first race of any kind but all of the folks seemed super patient and generally good natured. My friends and I all had a blast and ended up meeting a bunch of other low-key folks in the Austin area to get out and ride with. Shout out to Jeremiah and all of the other folks that put it together and made the whole thing possible. For those listening... do it again, and not just annually... regularly. I know a whole pile of folks that would show up and do the whole family deal without the worry of having to be a trail eating monster as most of the folks who do the normal circuit are. I'll even volunteer to help in any way I can.

Rancid, I think you could've wrecked every stage and still beat my times! No really... possible. Sadly the whole experience has started me on a downhill spiral of full suspension, longer travel, etc. bike research.

    Thanks again guys.
