    CRANKSGIVING:Saturday, November 25, 2017

I'm planning some fun for you people.

This will be a 6-hour raffle ride from 9am-3pm. Ride as much as you want. Start whenever you want. Every lap earns you a raffle ticket. Last laps can leave out until 2:30pm.

    NEW THIS YEAR!!!!!
There will be BONUS raffle ticket stations that will involve TRAIL BUILDING. Raffle tickets will be a different color and different prizes will be awarded for the bonuses. So, you can come turn as many laps as you can or ride your normal pace and stop at the BONUS SITES and build berms, bench cut, weed eat, etc.

We'll all gather together around 3:30 for a MTB community meal and raffle. This is also the ARR Volunteer Appreciation Party, so if you've volunteered with ARR this past year, please come out to be appreciated.

There will be 6-10 BONUS SITES that will require a full bike dismount, safety briefing, and instructions. You will do substantial trail work and make PB a better place to ride. A super cool Trail Crew Honcho will
supervise your work and only give you a raffle ticket once you are awesome (think Amazing Race without the large cash incentives).

If you're new to Cranksgiving or just forgot, the idea of the event has been a day to ride and GIVE BACK to the riding community. Some people take the opportunity to train/compete and crank out as many laps as they can, while others gather to ride with friends and socialize. The cool thing about Cranksgiving is that both can happen simultaneously, at the same venue. Most races with different categories have different finishes and people scatter. With this one wrapping up at the same time for everyone, please stick around and win some raffle prizes, eat, drink, and be merry. It will be extra special this year, recognizing all the great volunteers. Proceeds (if there are any after expenses) will benefit ARR programs like Ride Like A Girl, Kids Trips, Austin Mountain Bike Patrol, Trail Building, and Advocacy Efforts.

The other benefit will be the trail improvements made that day. If you're riding through a work area,
we'll try to keep a path clear for you.

There are lots of options, but we'll do an ~8 mile lap.
