    EB Pre-Ride #3 - City Park - Sunday 9/17 @10AM

We will be doing the next pre-ride on Sunday, September 17th @ 10AM. This round will be City Park. Meet in the parking lot at 9:45 and be ready to ride at exactly 10am (which means on your saddle and ready to go, not pulling in at that time.)

For those that want some hill climbing, meet at Ramsey Park (44th and Rosedale) @ 8:15 and we will ride from there, giving you a taste of Courtyard, City Park Road, Jester and Loop 360. That will be a ~45 miles, ~2800 feet and will take ~4-5 hours total depending on stops.

The city park lap will be at a social pace and there will be opportunities to session some of the features, (but not all as it is a group ride).

Be careful at City Park. There are reports of booby traps being set in the trail. Large(ish) rocks are being placed in the preferred line after a drop. The rocks are reported to be large enough to cause trouble for motorcycles. I'm pretty sure they will stop the front wheel of a mtb.

If you see any of these, please report their location. If you can, please throw the rocks well off the trail. If you see any hikers on the trail - remind them ---> nicely <--- that the Parks Department has posted signs that hikers are not allowed in the motorcycle park. If they want to argue about it, disengage and refer them to the Parks Department. Take their picture if you get the chance.

I will keep an eye out for these as I will be in the lead. I have encountered hikers and I have always politely explained the situation to them. Most have given me attitude despite the signage that is very clear.

I just rode a couple laps and there were no conspicuous death rocks. Not more than usual anyway, it's very loose.

Good to hear as I will be the first guy over all of the drops. I'll report back after Sunday's ride, hopefully it stays clear.

Just rode, no traps. Very dry and loose though, so plenty of baseball to football-sized stuff moving around from regular riding. Just be aware.
