Where exactly do you have the land owners's permission to build?

I used to do a lot of work out at Thumper and Brushy. Then the got sanctioned and turned lame AF.

    JK.

By it brings me back to one of my original points. The same conditions that allow the trails, being so addimitly defended, to be built take away the ability to do anything to stop them from being changed. At the end of the day it's the person who is willing to do the most work that will shape the trails, and unfortunately there seem to be as many hours being put in by people who want them to be easier as the people who want to keep them challenging.

I should also say that I haven't built any B lines. I actually don't think I'd know where to put them as I like most of the trails the way they are. But I wouldn't hesitate to put in some work if it would stop a group of scouts from destroying a feature I really liked or that I put a lot of work into building.

    Ahhhh... Come on. Be nice.

Tell you what... When are you working on your trail again... I'll come help... And I promise not to say a word about alternate trails.

The scouts had nothing to do with destroying a feature. The scouts just armored a Flash flood creek crossing on the main trail and have nothing to do with the thread.

Unless you ride the greenbelt consistently from Zilker like I do, then you wont ever see the work done by the scouts.

ha, no way. thanks, but no thanks. thats a recipe for disaster. if you're already thinking about alternate lines at the trails around town, you'll have no business riding at the FR512 trails. you'd want to make an alternate trail around the whole place right back to your car. LOL

...or whoever the group of kids was that was the reason this thread started. I didn't mean to pick on the scouts (I'm a two time Pinewood Derby winner myself) it was just a good synonym for "group of young boys doing projects in the woods".

Any chance you can focus your attention on Lake Georgetown? That place could really use some cheater lines! Plus, you can bully up to the Army guys.

    Your loss.

But you should really try to not let your offended feelings get in the way of common sense. But then again, as someone else pointed out, common sense isn't really common.

BTW... Let me know if you ever get it finished... I'll come ride your super duper ultra hard blacker-than-black diamond killer diller big man balls trail.

    Or walk it.

Either way... I'll hope to learn all about trail building from your mastery of it.

Yo Training Bra: here is your chance to do some legitimate trail work and be the voice of safety and save us all from ourselves:

I believe this will be your type of terrain.

I think a mandatory name change is on order. I'm thinking TypingAgain is more fitting.
