    Spyglass Trailhead

    Big News! Spyglass Trailhead
Dear Neighbors, we have three new developments to report!

    1) Construction has begun on improvements to the Spyglass Trailhead improvements!

    2) The Project has been awarded a Neighborhood Partnering Program grant which, together with the Austin City Limits Festival Grant from the Austin Parks Foundation and the community match we are raising from friends and neighbors, will fully fund the project.

    3) Thanks to the generous support of some of our neighbors and friends, we are more than halfway to our fundraising requirement for the community match. If you have not chipped in, please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to the Spyglass Trailhead via the Austin Parks Foundation at the following link -- https://www.austinparks.org/sfaform/...ass-trailhead/

I have a picture of the trailhead design but cant post here - its what you think it would be - gravel area with big stones, two benches, four bike lock things, and signs. The transition from the gravel area to the trail is 3 or 4 steps - no smooth bike ramp.

Don't we always say that it's good to have a technical feature at the start of a trail to serve as a filter?

"If you can't handle these 3-4 steps, you're gonna hate the greenbelt."

But in this case, you need to have the 3-4 steps with a couple bags of dog shit at the bottom to dodge as a full qualifier.

Have you ridden that entrance lately? Its probably one of the sketchiest things traction wise on the greenbelt.
