    MTB in Bandera

For those in the Austin area who have not heard a new MTB park just opened in Bandera Texas.
We have cross country, Slopestyle, and Pump Track.

Skills course and downhill are coming soon. The slopestyle has 150 feet of vertical drop and is serviced by a shuttle for those who do not want to walk up the hill.
The downhill paths are being planned and will have 300 feet of vertical drop.

Please check the website banderabike.com for more information.

Is it a used shuttle or a new one?

I believe NASA discontinued the shuttle program, so it would have to be used.

FINALLY, proof that 170+mm of travel is not overkill in the ATX area.

Wait, what? The 150 feet is comprised of more than just one drop? OK, just, like, never mind.

More importantly, if it is only 150 feet of climbing, why do I need a shuttle? Unless the angle is off that should be a fairly straightforward climb.

You can easily climb the 150 feet. The shuttle is optional for those who do not wish to..

Thanks for posting - I look forward to getting out there and checking it out.

Your website looks really good, but it's missing a map to get there. Going to "Contact" and then copying the address to Google Maps is a pain.

if you do not wish to make a climb of 150 feet, you need to just stay home.

edit- if you do not wish to make a climb of 150 feet, that means you NEED to make a climb of 150 feet. start working on that today!

Sometimes climbing is good and fun. Sometimes you don't want to. It will be nice to have an option to conserve ALL of your energies for down hilling. In Texas!

There is some new trail in the SATN. Some fun flowing stuff that has 80-60 feet of drop. There are three downhill runs, with one climb to get to the top each time. Seeing people's Strava rides is interesting. Most people just pass through the area doing only one downhill run. Rarely will someone "use" all of it by repeatedly making the climb again.

I think that being "able" to do something, and "wanting" to do something, are two different things.

Mojo has lots of abandoned forums - can one of them not be repurposed, to better serve those who are unable to cycle up a small hill?

Correct me if I'm wrong but bike parks are about jumping, speed, and carving berms as many times you can stand in a day. I don't see where is says climbing.
I mean what if there is a keg of mountain dew on that shuttle? Or bales of hay? Who doesn't love a hayride, are you kidding me? I would almost go just to ride that all day.
    Talk about living medium.

I paid all my climbing dues during my years of riding in California. No need to prove anything now.
