I would be much more concerned about the beer than the kids...

I have never ridden RHR, I tried once but they were having a dirty duo race there that day. If the trail is decently marked, and my hand is up to it, I'll give it a shot.
No NORBA license or anything required, right?

No license required. You do have to wear a helmet, sign a waiver and be nice to other trail users...

So, is it definitely going to be the 9 mi. loop? Just making sure 'cause I remember a previous discussion about possibly using the 12 mi. loop.

    Either way, I'm in!

I'ts going to be awesome... but keep it on the DL so Kyle won't have to do as much work

My Muleshoe time was legit, and I slowed a couple of times to talk to folks on the trail -and- it was my second lap and I crashed - and I still beat you.

With beer on the line, though, I will cheat. Not that I'll have to - but I would...

I spectated at the top of Fat Chucks this year, and the SS'ers were flying up it. of course the only other choice is to walk..

I remember pointing out to Kyle that he was being dropped by a guy with only one gear. Just one gear....

I think the most fun I've ever had at a mountain bike race was the year that B. Ridout, Alexis, M. Coltharp, B. Vaughn and I did the 24 hour race. were were running 4 singlespeeds and only realized we were in danger of placing top 5 halfway through the race.

Never underestimate the power of a fully rigid singlespeed.

that said i'll probably be running gears that day....
