So the Sales guy should be more knowledgeable than the Tech support guy. mmmm I see where the priorities are.

jk - I appreciate a sales guy that actually knows what he is talking about, but tech support should always know more than the sales guy.

It doesn't hurt to have knowledgable sales people. Like when maroon sells someone something that doesn't work on that someone's compooter then we have to fix it and calm that someone down. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy thinking about it

Well that makes sense. Technical sales people are Satan's spawn!

    IBMs

Has no one ever checked out IBM Thinkpad T-30s? I abuse the hell out of mine and it never has a problem at all. Much more sturdy than the 2 Dell laptops I used prior to going IBM laptop. Also I have never had a single problem with my tower at home which I use for alomost everything from work to downloading music, games, you name it. IBM support has always been bad ass also. MY Dell tower on the other hand is currently in bad need of a reload. SO if anyone out there has a copy of XP PRO, I would be willing to sport a few 6-packs of choice for it.

i didn't even know IBM still made whole computers. my Toshiba laptop has survived 4yrs with no problems at all. that amazes me, considering it's lived through 3yrs of college and one year of high school abuse.

ibm thinkpads are nice once you purge the Microsoft crap and put a fresh installation of your favorite Linux distribution.
