    Guerilla Gravity + 3.0" tires?

For those of you interested in GG, here's a guy over on mtbr.com who has successfully stuffed 3.0" 29er+ tires into his bike. For me, as someone who is becoming "big bike curious" (due to impending bike park openings), I find this appealing.

    Experiment - 29+ Trail Pistol- Mtbr.com

just to touch base on that - you wouldnt really want 2.8- 3.0 + tires for real gravity riding. the g forces, corners, etc etc would wreak havoc on tires with such huge volume. you would be rolling sidewalls like crazy, probably be prone to tire punctures and sidewall tears, etc etc. aggressive 2.35-2.5 tires like magic Marys or minions would be much more properly accomodating

and even with the extra tire width, I bet a plus/fat tire wouldnt be near as grippy as a magic Mary or assegai tire

Yeah, I get all that. If I were to do true gravity riding then I'd choose a tire specifically for those needs. However, if I am going to own a FS bike then it would be nice for it to have the ability for some diversity. Not to mention that since I've been living in the 29+ world for past 2 years, there have been very few 29+ FS bikes around. All these things make the GG offering look appealing.
