    Anybody seen the movie Klunkerz?

Not much of a post'er here, more of a lurker, but I am curious how many people around here have seen the film Klunkerz. In case you have not heard of it, it is a great documentary film about the early days in Marin County where the likes of Joe Breeze, Gary Fisher, Alan Bonds, Charlie Cunningham, Charlie Kelly, and the Morrow Dirt Club were riding their old Schwinn cruisers around Mt. Tam. It was fascinating to see how a huge industry evolved from a bunch of pot-smoking hippies who liked to let loose on their fat tire bikes.

I am in no way connected to the production or marketing of this film. In fact, the film-maker Billy Savage doesn't have the money for an advertising budget. It is all word of mouth. Ever since I read about the movie on MTBR, I knew I had to see it. After seeing a quite a few old Klunker style mountain bikes being posted on MTBR, it made me realize I still had not seen the movie. I went to the movie website and clicked to order. A little while later after I clicked through Amazon and purchased, I received an e-mail from the seller asking for my feedback once I received it. After I received the movie and watched it, I replied to the e-mail to thank Billy for the movie. He wrote me back with a very nice thank you. What a cool guy!

I just wanted to see if there is much awareness of this film around here. I consider this a must see for any mountain biker or cyclist, right up there with Joe Kid on a Stingray.

I didn't even think to look for it there. I am glad I own it now though.

I own it! It definitely rocks. Well done work with lots of stills and lots of interviews. It really gives the story of the scene out there back in the day. I recommend it for any mtb'er.

Joe Kid on a Stingray rocks as well.

I don't usually buy movies. In fact, I own about five. Klunkerz is one of them.
