    Commuting sucks this week!

Just when I got used to the warmer weather and 60+ degree morning commutes we're back to this. Oh well, I stuck with it, I had to break out the cold/wet weather gear though. Who else is still commuting these days? What also sucks about it is that this is the first week we returned to darkness in the morning, I needed lights again as well.

This from the guy who thought he was blacklisted? Just because you whine somewhere else doesn't exclude you from being a whiner!

45 minutes later and I'm happy I commuted, I feel much better on the days I ride to work. Obviously hitting the road tonight for the long Parmer stretch.

No commuting for me right now. I haven't figured out my game plan. 71 is a big no-no in my eyes.

Do you have an alternate route available yet? I remember you talking about a road being built that might be commute worthy.

Charles, these guys aren't whining, they're gloating!

I, on the other hand, am whining - It's cold, wet, miserable, and I'm stuck in a fucking steel cage every morning listening to nothing but commercials on the radio wishing I was riding but too chicken-shit to get out there and mix it up on the bike with these asshole drivers that can't even figure out to turn on their headlights in the fucking rain. Not only that, but every day I put up with this shit I get a little more pissed off and that makes each day a little worse than the last.

Combine all of that with a brand-new road bike (that's a whole other thread - I need to take some pics) and I'm just about to lose it completely!

I might be able to. But honestly, I've been working double time on our new house doing renovations and that combined with work has made me super tired. Not much motivation right now to reduce my little sleep that I'm currently getting to get out in the morning and ride.

No worries though, Spring Break and Arkansas starts tomorrow at 2:45! On top of that, the next 2 days are cake since my kids are testing all day! I love test days.

I saw somebody riding on Parmer this morning. He is somebody I've seen before and even briefly ridden with on my commute.

The thing is...he was virtually invisible. He had a blinkie. It even looked like my trusted PlanetBike Super Flash. Still...with the dark and the rain, I couldn't see him until I was almost right next to him.

I've thought about commuting in the rain, but I don't think I will...at least in the dark.
