I had someone break into my vehicle at a park in Killeen while I was on a ride with my son. Stole my favorite knife and watch. I thought that was just Killeen being Killeen though.

Snaggle rock was messed up around 3:30 today...someone had tried to block the west side of the hump with the largest of the remaining rocks. We put it back to the "new normal".

Snaggle was deconstructed when I rode through around 11:00. West side had the rocks scattered about. I came over it from the east and had to stop. Rocks were perfect for jamming your front wheel as you go over. Reconstructed as best I could. BTW I noticed a surveillance device. Hope it shows who's been messing with this feature.

Glad to hear that someone is recording it because the more recent deconstructions have been, as you mentioned, somewhat dangerous. It could just be coincidence, but it appears that the boulder on the West side is being pulled just far enough away to cause crashes.

I'd like to see some photos of how Snaggle should look, so I can, you know, fix it should I encounter it when someone has fucked with it.

Should look something like this; rocks piled on either side (this is standing on the W side looking E). There used to be a pile on top, too, but I think those days have passed...Name: 1478120665469.jpg

He thought he had found the serial burglar breaking into cars at the sports park. It took several minutes to convince him i was just doing maintenance on the trail. I could tell he thought i was full of it at first. Luckily he called off the other two units that were also trying to find me in the woods when the info i gave him came back as correct and i had no warrants.
Haha. Glad you had no warrants I guess. Thank you for blowing the leaves off the trail. I definitely noticed and appreciated that yesterday on my ride. Thanks!

Well, this is embarrassing, but I ate shit going over Snaggle Rock yesterday right around 11 or 11:30. I was heading E-> W and the rocks looked unusual on the west side and as soon as my tires went over, the rocks on that side went sliding out and I went down. I didn't try to rebuild that side as I figured I'd just make it worse or put it back in a dangerous position, like how I found it.

I didn't see any recording device, but whoever has access to that, I'd love to see the footage of me kooking out if possible.

Thanks for the photo! So, what are people doing, removing the rocks?? It's not even a difficult element.

    Two possibilities include:
    1. The perp has given up on messing with our blockade around the tree, and has now decided to start repositioning the rocks on the West side to make the transition more dangerous - when we went through at 3:30 yesterday, one of the rocks seemed to be vertical. We rode it, but it was definitely messed with...I could see how someone used to the normal transition could get thrown off....
    2. The west side used to be a larger single rock that is now broken - I suppose it is possible with increased traffic that the smaller rocks are just sliding around and no one is messing with the rocks...
Either way, we just need to replace the west side with a larger rock...and keep watching for anything unusual.

I noticed Friday that a large rock had been moved closer to the trail between satellite and the grotto. Looks like it may have been on the trail and moved back off not sure though.

    We ride, then we drink!

Well it's a completely loose pile of rocks at this point, so yeah.

Or even a lot gnarlier and permanent... or at least what it was in the beginning, pre-legitification. Permanence is key though; problem solved, move on to the next issue.

Yep, the cameras have been there for weeks actually

Photos will be reviewed soon. Public shaming may commence shortly thereafter.
