Would love to try afternoon ride today around 1-130 if any of you can sneak out. Looks like it is warming up and wind has died down
    We ride, then we drink!

    A lot!

If youíre fat, slow and ride shitty I might be done. Just destroyed my legs in Golds CYCLE class, but I need some dirt. 2 would be better.

Make sure he tells you the name of every rock, root and feature.
Afterwards he can autograph your map

I pretty much did. When you ride with me you get the whole history. We even kept a decent pace during the lesson.

Felt great, weather was great, trail was great.

+1 on all three counts. I must've started right before y'all and saw your truck in the parking lot. Mulligan, Deception, Rim, Dick's, Picnic X. Must've kept a good pace too since you never passed me. Haven't been out there in several months but really enjoyed the trail today. It does seem to be slowly eroding in some areas but that's typical with age. Seems like yesterday that I was poaching a secret trail that few knew was there, and I'm still grateful for all the thought and hard work that went into this place. It's still pretty damn good. Maybe you can just come up with a name for some of the massive roots along Deception.

I'm 1000% better since that time I tried to ride with you. I like all the side stories about features. It's like sitting on a porch rocking chair with an old man sipping Arnold Palmers, except I'm out of breath and getting arm pump.

Based on your videos I believe it. Letís try to hit Walnut from work next week. Although, schedule permitting I can often bail Work early and do Brushy or you know.

The construction crews for the extension of the paved trail were kind enough to run over one of the signs that will have stickers in the future. It was out in the open area near the dodge cattle. I brought it up and put it at the start of deception (1/4 notch) and put it to the left of the trail next to a tree. When it’s time to be retrieved let me know if you can’t find it although I didn’t hide it, I also didn’t want it totally in the open.

Thanks. We'll actually have a small crew out tomorrow so I'll keep and eye out for it. We plan to relocate those signs and replace/install a few more, as well as some stickers and reroute the new entrance that will be pending Wilco's review. We're going to try to make it interesting and not just a straight shot. Once all this signage is done we plan to lobby to 1) extend 1/4 Notch in a couple of places and 2) officially re-open Escape Route (aka Up and Over, aka 5.0) this would allow users to go from the west end of Double Down directly to Rim without going down to the BCRT area. We're also going to be getting a few more cedar fences added to cut down on some cheater areas and access to/from BCRT in undesirable areas.
