I am going to demo a 29er I think for this one and see if my times still suck. The idea of pedaling the Nomad around for 62 miles again is daunting.

Make your goal 50k and come out to ride. Finish the 50k and then see how much farther you can go.

Hardly smoked! I need to shoot for shorter pitstops and I'd have better times.

I am going to demo a 29er I think for this one and see if my times still suck. The idea of pedaling the Nomad around for 62 miles again is daunting.
Will be curious to see how you do--I wouldn't want to pedal that thing for 62 miles at Reimers either!

How close are you to a final route? I want to get out to Reimers soon and put some laps in.

    ..Al

Our first "summer" event; sunrise is at 6:30, sunset is at 8:25. Pre-race will be at 7:45 and I'd expect the last groups to be out on the course by 8:30. That'll give us 12 full hours of daylight to ride it. Hell, if it ever rains we can probably work in a swim or two

The pre-ride this morning was fun, thanks to Mr. Bacon for giving us the tour. The Strava segment has been made and we'll get a GPX up on the webpage for people to download soon.

Less than a month to go, hope to see you all out there.
