    pay it forward thread

on another forum there is a cool thread called the pay it forward thread. People give away bike equipment. The only rule is that you shouldnt sell the item, if it doesnt work out. Just give it away again. The thread gets bumped as people post new items to give away

    I have:
Various 26" wheels and tires. vbrake front and rear, disc brake front
29er wtb laser disc trail wheels with XT hubs, 15mm through axle front, QR rear
    front/rear bb7 brakes
new in box avid speed dial levers
3-4 29er tubes. Somehow I keep accumulating tubes. I only use them as spares so only need a couple.
shimano plastic slx bash guard (wouldnt fit on my slx cranks for some reason)
crank brothers 5050 2 pedals ($80/rei) barely used (only used for one ride)
    size 9 hiking/mountain bike shoes
3 santa cruz tallboy aluminum derailleur hangers
xt rear derailleur (not shadow +)
xtr rear derailleur (not shadow +)
    ---------------
I could use a 180mm ice tech brake rotor

Cool concept. I'd love to have those 29er wheels. I don't have an Ice Tech rotor laying around, but i bet i could find one for you to trade.

Really cool concept! I can dig it!

If you are the recipient, are you obliged to give something away?

The girlfriend has an old beach cruiser that is in need of some love, so I could use some 26" road tires. She wants whitewalls.

I could use the crankbrothers 5050 2 pedals.

The ones I would be pulling off would be up for a giveaway. I think I have some clipless pedals that could use some love to be quite useable.

fairly certain they are Shimanos. I have not looked at them in a long time. I can snap a photo of these as well.

Edit: They are slightly oxidized, so that is a bit of a bummer.

I like the idea of this. I wish I had something to trade, but I am just getting started in biking.

I could use the 29er wheels... I already had to have one my wheels warrantied (which is about to end) since I busted the hub on the rear wheel (don't even know the type of hub it has).

ironic thing is the wheels are centerlock and actually have icetech rotors. They are just not compatible with my other wheels.

29er wheels, pedals and hangers are spoken for.

Pretty sure I have some time alium pedals and plenty of other parts in my bins. Need to take a look.

Definitely have some very lightweight 26" wheels for a non-rugged bike if someone needs them.

I'll take the BB7s, speed dial levers and 29er tubes. I should see you at the Thumper ride on Saturday if it doesn't get rained out.
