I'm guessing yes. We have only gotten 1/4" for the last couple of days. We just need that annoying top layer of moisture to soak in and dry out so it doesn't stick to the tires.
I'll go out in the morning to give it a test.

Just got back from a 20 miler. Short story, it's all good to go. No problems anywhere.
Circle C was hero dirt. The 45 stuff didn't get enough rain to knock it down. It actually fluffed it up somehow. Very interesting.
A group is exploring Mary Moore Searight tonight. Meet in the parking lot. Wheels down 6 pm. If you've never ridden there, this would be a good time to learn sumpthin'
I was thinking of a full moon night ride.
Bambi has so many craters in it that it looks like it has been bombed. A "helper" has pulled up a lot of rocks. Some of the craters are more of a hazard than the exposed rocks were. Pulling out those rocks will speed up the erosion process. I wish people would think things through before they start "helping."
Between the Backspin bar and Davis Lane.
"...Backspin bar..."?
So I know where Davis Lane is. And I know where Taco Bueno is. And I know where the cave is. Is Bambi between Davis and Taco Bueno, or between Davis and the cave?
I hate to be that guy, but Backspin Bar.
won't you be my neighbor?
I don't know who did this, but it's pretty clever. This log is on the Canterbury Trail. Seems like a pretty good solution to an age old problem. If it stays there for awhile my faith in humanity just might be reaffirmed.

A small SATN milestone has been reached. (or is this a Strava milestone?)
There are now at least two Strava segments that have had over 1000 different riders.
Circle C Northbank (eastbound) and Exit to Walgreens are two that I have just noticed. There might be more. A few different ones have been hovering in the 900's for awhile. But these are the first that I've noticed that have broken the 1000 barrier.

I have a Eulerian circuit. ;-)
I suggest a different approach. I use rebar (1/2") and concrete. Drive the rebar thru the log and embed in the concrete. If they don't pull it before the concrete sets then it can be pretty close to permanent.
The next step is to replace the log with a concrete parking barrier or two or three. But then some people just create a "B line" around it.
Violet Crown work has begun behind Walgreens. They are cutting in the path from the new yellow pylons to the beginning of the trial today.
So, there will likely be workers and machinery all around what is a very common point of entry to the trails.
If it becomes impassable, or if the workers are less accommodating than the north of Davis section, there is an easy alt entry off of Norman Trail.
Just cruise down Slaughter towards Bowie and take the first left on Zuinga to Chesney Ridge to Norman - it dumps you right at the top of the small climb on the way to the creek.
I assume since this ride is public, it's ok to post here...this guy did an epic ride of 'almost' everything Southie. 75 miles, but a few bits and pieces are not covered on his ride. Very impressive ride and also a very impressive trail system. Congrats and kudos to everyone responsible for creating and maintaining what must be just about 80 miles in the network. So great...
