Oh, and Slaughter Creek in CC Metro is gurgling and babbling. But Boulder Crossing is almost dry.
Also, the big tree on Claremont that I mentioned before is all cleared.

Just got back in town last night and was gonna try to ride this afternoon. Was wondering about trail conditions. Hydromet looks like we didn't get as much rain as I thought we might. Anybody got a trail report from SATN (Cue the "pimp")

I ran in Stephenson yesterday. Tacky with some water in low spots from a few days ago, but it was good to go.

Thanks to the good citizen that did chain saw work on the big ass tree that fell over the west end of Candy. It was a lot of work.

There is another huge tree that fell over the trail along the south bank of Williamson Creek Greenbelt. It is YUGE! Another trail angel weedeated a bypass trail. It works just fine.

Trails are in great shape. They were getting a little powdery in places. Hopefully this little bit of rain we just got will help.

I was about to comment that it wasn't cut with a chainsaw. We passed by you when you were sawing away at that thing. Thanks for the hard work!

There is a dead tree hanging over the trail in Circle C. It is possible to duck under it but i can barely make without eating my stem. I think it is getting lower too. I will take it out if i have time but if anyone else is feeling hack-y this week...

It's definitely getting lower. Took the top off of the backup water bottle that I keep in my backpack a week or two back. Now I just take it really slow going under it. I'm happy to help move/disassemble it but can't do it by myself (bad back that has been cooperating for quite a while and I don't want to take chances with it!).

    It's done.

Yes, it was getting lower and lower.

I saw it, and I happen to have my Swiss army knife, so I took care of it.

I am very encouraged how the grass is, so far, not obscuring most of the trails. I think we are now getting enough traffic to keep it beaten back. It was interesting riding Bauerle. The grass in some places is over two feet high, but it's not hanging over the trail.

I just got back from walking some trail. There'll be no miracle recovery this time! Everything was very sticky. Even those usually quick to recover trails.

But, if we don't get any more rain, and just a tad bit of sunshine, I think they'll be good to go for Saturday. Just in time for the ARR Meet-up ride 10am Dick Nichols.

12:45. I'm afraid this info won't be good for very much longer, but I just got back from Dick Nick, Latta, Drip Drop, CC Metro, Veloway, Deer Park Run. All good. Not perfect, but good. The south run of Drip Drop, closest to the houses, is not very good.

Mopac, north of The Hump, is terrible though! Don't even try.

New to this world and I come in peace. Is there actually a map or something showing the SATN? I'm having little to no luck on Strava. Also, think the trails will be okay for a ride tomorrow morning or afternoon? Thanks.

No on the map and definitely no for riding this weekend.

ATX bikes hosts a Tuesday ride (weather permitting) and there's usually weekend rides on meetup. Dudes post here too.

Best way to learn honestly is just go explore. You're never more than a couple hundred feet from a road if you need to bail.
