IMO it's not. I didn't ride SATN for a long time because every time I went out there I got lost. I have spent so much time circling around and back tracking in SP I basically refuse to ride there to this day.

Well X Minus 1 then you can find your map here - ArcGIS Web Application Those are all of the trails recognized by the City of Austin.

Make sure you look to see what trails are hiking only. You don't want to cause trouble by biking in a hiking only area.

I can respect it. If someone took the trouble to ride the whole thing and save the file, they can share or not share as they please. We can all look at public info and piece things together, but extra effort went into finding the best way to connect it all and name sections and lead rides.

That was a darn good Crank and Drank.

Just about everyone was surprised that the trails were in good enough shape to ride. Really amazing. Today's conditions will be even better. True hero dirt.

Sorry I missed this one- blame it on work. Was looking forward to the new stuff. Glad to hear trails are in good shape. I'm hoping to get out tonight or Friday maybe. Though, I heard tomorrow may be wet.

Is this "new trail" the route that goes around the south edge of the disc golf course?

I was wondering if anyone happens to know why the Kellywood access point has been blocked again? This time signage along with large piles of limbs have been placed at both sides of the trail. I thought it was park land, but want to be respectful.

Planing a big one this weekend. SV to DN to 1826 to the train tracks to Bambi to Ewok. Should be lots of miles at a moderate pace. Maybe 11am Saturday if anyone is interested.

Sounds good to me. Come up with a time and a place to meet. 11 is good, or even 10.

Do you mean Wyldwood? I have not seen anything new. The sign on the trail right by Wyldwood has been there for awhile. The wording on the sign is exactly like the one at the end of Squirrel Hollow at the entrance to Bauerle. We are assuming they are talking about vehicles.

    That's all I have.

Does not intersect any of the course though.

Planning to ride from my house around 11, so I'll probably be to SV city hall (or whatever that is) around 11:30.

Whoops, you are correct Wyldwood. There is a new additional sign under the Emergency Access Only sign that states "NOTICE This is Not An Entrance". Looks like an internet purchased sign, but they have also built up substantial piles to block the trail on both ends.

Well crud, that was my new super duper entrance to trail freedom. I guess I'm stuck with the old Bowie route from BR.

It's too bad that's being blocked, it's clearly parkland according to GIS data.

I think the best thing right now is to leave the blockages on both ends and just lift your bike over them. Then the blockers will think they are "winning."

On my ride today I remembered why I pimp the SATN so much. We need more wheels on the trails. That damn vegetation! More wheels to ride the edges and keep the trails open and clear.

Get those weed eaters ready to go.

    sigh
