De nada. You did all the heavy lifting. Thanks for this awesome event and the post. See you out there.

you might have noticed some construction at the end of Latta where it runs into Davis Lane. I explored it last night and they are putting a little pedestrian path that extends bike/walking traffic from Latta into the neighborhood to the south. probably not terribly useful to s on a mtb ride, but good to know in case you need it as a shortcut. hopefully they are at least putting a street light there too, because that area is super dark at night.

the path basically does this:Attachment 10943
    won't you be my neighbor?

Hello Southies! I have a friend that is fairly new to the S.atx scene and would like to ride some trails with her 8 year old son besides Town Lake. Would the Southie trails be a good place? Is there something more appropriate? If southie trails are good can someone send me any info on good locations to start from or a map if it exists.
Thanks from your Northerner beyond the wall

Slaughter Creek trail might be a good place for that. One direction travel and the trails aren't difficult. Only downside is since its one direction, I don't know if there are any bailouts for shorter rides.

I gotta say...when I saw this thread resurrected I was excited to see if the Big Southie we coming back for an encore. I've decided that either I have to stop reading about all the sweet trails you guys are fostering down there or bite the traffic bullet and explore it more often.
