At least an hour of light rain last night. If the rain holds off today, things should be OK this evening, I would think.

I don't know, it was a little soft yesterday evening. I would expect the rain to shut things down for today. Especially if it's as cloudy and humid as the forecast suggests.

Hmm, was supposed to ride out there today. If anyone happens to get out early-ish, post up!

Wife ran out there this morning and said it was "hero dirt". She didn't make any tracks and nothing stuck to her shoes. I would probably stay away from point six but the rest sounds GTG.

That always makes for a more intense workout. Gotta be careful of the bananas though.

Sunday, June 4, 4:15 pm, heavy rain in WC area. We'll likely get about .5" out of this, maybe more.

Monday, June 19: little sprinkle in the Walnut area. Probably just settled the dust.

Radar shows "light" rain over WC. Did it get hit too hard this morning?

Enough that we stopped riding. Should be fine tomorrow with no additional rain today.

Well whatever there was is already soaked in--barely knocked the dust down. You'd hardly know it rained.

Same thing today. Trail was not wet at all from 2-4pm when I was out there. Not even .6 loop.

Since when? It was perfect yesterday. How much rain did it get between noon and Noon?

The ground was so cracked with a reasonable amount of sunshine, it will not take two days and you will be significantly missing out.

Join the ARR Trail Crew at WC at 6:30 tonight. We will be doing intensive soil sampling. No better way to get first hand information on what conditions are and if it will be rideable soon.

The ARR Trail Crew was able to accomplish it's mission last night before the storm hit.

The trails had dried a bit but were still muddy in some areas when we arrived at 6:30 pm. At about 9:00 pm the thunderstorm hit the park with a good dose of rain. The trails should be muddy today. They should eventually dry given about a day of enough wind, sunlight and no more rain.

Areas off-trail along the banks of Tar Branch near the confluence with Walnut Creek were revegetated with native inland sea oats and closed off to traffic to allow the riparian zone to recover.
