Just got back. Hit most of the trails. Really good shape. This week is going to be awesome.

Is it ok to assume that with last night's rain and the cloud cover today, Walnut will be a mud pit tomorrow?

Pretty safe to assume, yeah. We haven't had much rain though, so I imagine it'll be dry by the weekend, just in time for another few inches of rain.

I live in North Austin at same 'latitude' as the park, but a few miles West. It rained HARD around midnight. I'd imagine the trail got pretty saturated.

I was checking our work on Windy this morning. Soggy. The park got somewhere between 1 to 1.5 inches. Might be rideable this weekend.

This thread makes me really glad to have a trail out here that doesn't get soggy no matter how hard it rains

What trail are you referring too?

This forecast will have walnut soggy until next weekend.

Rode most everything this afternoon except Windy. Perfect. Actually dry and hard in the sun and tacky in the shade especially on .6 and inner log loop.

I'm sure it will, the sun is already out! (like, for 45min now........)

The parking lot behind my apartment is almost dry already, and it's 5min as the crow flies to WC from here.

I just walked a couple of the loops checking on storm damage. Still swampy in places but drying out fast.

Church hill is wet. Upper part of Tangle by the LCRA fence has standing puddles. Exit of Windy is the usual swamp fest. Walnut Creek at Main crossing is dropping fast. Might get your feet wet.

    Tomorrow should be very ridable.
