I'm thinking that I might maybe possibly go. So count me in as definite probable.

The ride starts at the Upper Crust Bakery, which is at 45th and Burnett.

As of 5 minutes ago, I was going to come, but when I called Grant he threw out the idea of he and I riding a long ride together. I called the daycare, and they can take Phat-head tomorrow, even though it's not his usual day, soooo we have the whole day to goof off.

The problem with us doing the bakery ride is that the daycare doesn't open until 7, and I think they frown upon leaving babies on the front porch of the day care.

    I'll come next Tuesday.

Leave Phathead with Grant while you do the Bakery Ride. It's over by 8:30. then you can take PH to the daycare and goof off after that.

I should have specified, our "goof off" is going to be a really long bike ride -- like maybe the Buda to Gruene ride or something like that. I don't want to try both for fear that I would bonk half way through the 2nd ride with no sag wagon in sight.

About how far do ya'll go and what is the avg speed? I have been road riding more but am still not in the best shape.

If the info isn't too intimidating, I might try to come out for a second try.

the ride really depends on who shows up but we try not to drop anyone (for too long, that is). I'm one of the slower riders and my computer says that the pace varies between 13-14.5 but that includes some good climbs and lots of stop signs and lights and a couple of cigarette breaks.

I think you came with a knobby tyred mtb last time, since you've got a road bike and some miles under ya, you'll have plenty of fun.

Don't worry, I did it last week and I have had my road bike for 2 weeks. I am coming tomorrow morning.

Old Schooler ... I AM VERY GLAD THAT YOU ARE OK!!! I was really freaked out when I saw the bike begin to slide out - especially with the truck right in your path. Again, I am glad that there seemed not to be too much damage done to you - the bike on the other hand ...

let us know what the final damage toll is for both body and bike.

It was nice to see everyone, and I look forward to more rides in the future.

    jeff
