Upgrades to BMX freestyle bike

What's up cats? Been riding the freestyle bike more and am wondering what kind of upgrades would be worth it? I'm riding a 2002 specialized Vegas, which is all stock. Any suggestions?

hm, ur better off. i'm still trying to find time to go to a bmx race to see what i need for the cruiser class. i'm hoping to uncross my balls and do bmx next year.

I thought there was a BMX or motocross track out off of I-10 Westbound heading out of Seguin? It was called something like "White Dove motocross" or something like that. Ther also used to be a BMX course in Schertz, where the old drive in used to be.

yep the one is schertz has been closed for awhile. I think it was called Buffalo Valley?

there was one in converse but i think they haven't been open because noone really likes the track plus most of the people that race live on the other side of town and cry about having to drive too far. what a crock.
anyway there is one out blanco rd. about a mile or two past 1604, Eugene races out there. He's been doing that since racing season is over now.

Frank, U can use your MTN. bike to practice or Eugene can let you try his cruiser out. HE also has a 20 inch that he's is selling but I think Toben wanted to check it out.

we'll be heading out there Saturday night for sure.
and maybe Thursday he might go. not sure on that one yet.
but Saturday is better...

1604 to Blanco rd. turn right onto Blanco rd. go about 1-1/2 miles and track is just as you come upon a slight curve on blanco rd. on the left.

What days can you ride out there?

tuesdays at 6pm are practice runs. saturdays starting at 6pm are practice and race

now there is only one track in SA (converse track no longer running) Practice on Tuesday starting at 6:00pm Thursday practice 6:00-7:30 race starts at 7:30 or as soon as motos are posted. Saturday same as Thurs. schedule.

track will be closing dec.15 and will reopen Jan. 1st 04'

there are no rules out at the track. you can leave your dodge dually running for 30 min while we're racing, so you can give all the racers emphysema. you can drink all the beer you want to and give the riders s***. you can let your little kids run all over the place and throw gatorade bottles into the burners. just make sure jeannie doesnt see you sitting on the infield or its your a**. you can use your mountain bike to race on, just ask hojo about that one. hehehe

yea you have to yell at your kids only negative encouragement, that way they get tired of listening to you and get burned out on the sport in less than a year. also, if your son/daughter cant seem to win his/her races, you have to buy them a 500 dollar frame to make em faster...if all else fails, clip your 3 year old in.
