    Steel Frame Owners...

    A discovery:

As Carlos and i were returning from East Texas (With my beeeeeeautiful black steel ripper), he was explaining how to "Swab the inside of the seat tube for Oxydation removal/Tx/prevention...About putting WD 40 on a Shirt, and driving it down with as dowel, and then grease in the same fashion...

Today, it came to me...A Shotgun Cleaning rod kit!!!! With the Bore Swabs. The Swabs look like threaded tampons.

    Cost? A few $ @ any Target/WalMart/Academy, etc.

Just thought I'd share, and "Spread the moJo

heh heh heh...I knew either you or Chief would jump on that.

The Shotgun Cleaner tip looks like a thick tampon, with threads sticking out of one end (Threads into Cleaning Rod)

IT WORKS AWESOME for getting down into that Seat Tube to scrub the Oxydation, and apply grease like you had said.

I just wanted to share this techniue with Steel Frame owners

    Roger that...

Carlos suggested W-D 40, followed by wiping it all out, then a light coat of grease
