Parts may be your hang up. Just go to a good mechanic who happens to work at a cannondale dealership. I think bicycle heaven might be your best bet if you're close to San Antonio.

Does it need servicing? Is it acting up?

wildhare....there are several special tools that most non cannondale dealers won't have....bike heaven will be the place.

make sure to take into consideration that they _might_ need to order something.....so call ahead and ask if they have the parts for that particular model.

if they don't, see if they will oder them and take the bike in after the parts show up. this should reduce some down time....
It’s impossible to rate welding/brazing quality by looking at a finished frame joint, even an unpainted one. Files, sandblasting, and a good paint job can take care of that. Such a joint will look stellar unpainted, but won’t last. Yet people all the time look at frames and say, “Nice welding/brazing…” The point isn’t to make you paranoid, just to stop saying things like, “That’s nice welding/brazing,” when you see a painted/unpainted frame. -- Grant Petersen

I've used Craig. For me, price, performance, and turn-around was astounding. Just talking comparo to San Antonio C-dale shop. The shop I purchased from admitted they would have to ship my max to C-dale for the add-on I wanted....Craig received the max on a Friday and shipped it back to me the very next day.

The base Lefty Max 140 is fluid flow (ff) damping. I upgraded to the twin piston chamber damper.
