    thule t2 latch issue

anyone with a thule t2/t4 have an issue with the lever latch? I'm talking about the square pin/lever combo used to move the rack up/down for loading or storage. Mine is having an issue where the square pin is wobbling a bit and moves unevenly when the latch is pulled. This causes the pin to not move all the way out of the notches and makes it difficult to either fold down or up. I've searched online but have not found any similar issues.

i always take the weight off it before I pull the latch, but have never had an issue.

there's nothing there mechanically to insure it moves evenly though.

Yeah, I can't figure it out. They only thing I can think of is the pin is worn out at the center, thus more wobbly than normal? I'm going to take the rack of the car this week and see if I can clean or lube something to make it work a bit better.

fixed. Apparently the lever was not moving far enough due to the inner/bottom bike holder sliding down just enough to block about 1/4" of lever travel. Discovered this after i had removed both bike holders and it worked perfectly. Neeedless to say, but there is now suffecient space between the inner bike holder and the lever.
