    Gator Question Answered

The gator on the trail question was still bugging me, so I got in touch with local/world-wide wildlife expert Chester Moore. First, Chester assured me there are plenty where I ride, and would not be surprised if I saw one. His one-word answer for what to do? "Tree."

There is a report some where that said the Neuaces( SP?) had more gater per mile than any otehr river in the world. Something about the banks to steep for them to escape. Along the Brazos River, I have played several golf courses that have the funny looking logs walking across the fairway durning certain times of the year. Oh and on those course if you shank a ball into the woods you better take more than a snake stick to retrive it with.

Just be sure to bring the special paddle with the dangerous end in the water.

It will not be that bad. They only eat like once a month...but kill daily.

    Holy Cow...

In one of the schools I've attended in the past, we were trudging all over the Florida Swamps (yes walking/wading), and there were Gaters everywhere...None bothered us, cuz we didn't bother them.
