Burroughs Park actually has some trails. I've never ridden them but some of my beginner friends said they aren't bad. I think they are just hiking trails. The closest trails would be on Cypresswood drive. I haven't been there in awhile and I feel like they probably need some work but it's a fun place to ride. Do you live in Tomball? I'm in Decker Prairie.

    hey mel,
we met at Warda 12 hr a few wks back. i'm planning on doing the ms 150 with my friend that lives in houston (tomball actually). i believe she just started riding with you guys (the club). i will be heading up there this weekend. same question as moia, good trails near tomball? where do you ride? i'm definetely bringing my bike (mt. bike) and we're planning on doing some road riding sunday...you guys ride sundays (i'll ask her too). but i'd also like to check out some of the trails out there (maybe Memorial Park is a good one?).

    thanks,

I live right off of Cypresswood, and the last time I went to the trails on Cypresswood, they were terrible. It seems that either they are doing construction up there, or kids are riding like motocross while it is extremely muddy. I hed never seen trails so beat up. Also they are probably to muddy right now anyways cuz of all the rain.

I drive through the area a lot and have ridden Cypresswood. Cypresswood is ok if you do not know that there are better trails out there. I wonder about a trail section that I see off 2920 by hook airport, by the graveyard along that bayou. I see moto bike along there so there has to be something there to ride.

    Smile Tomball Trail

Cypresswood is under water and will be for a while after today's rains (2/11). I don't know about any trails in by?

I was thinking the same thing. Double Lake is about the only place around here that is rideable after this much rain.

Lake-Lake is in Cleveland, north of Houston, smack-dab inbetween I45 and highway 59. Unfortunately, Lake-Lake hasn't been draining very well, we're WAY OVER DUE to schedule a work party, I hope to propose something in the very near future.

You know we're in trouble when even Lake Lake isn't draining well.

Spent the day at Double Lake. The tree that fell on the bridge has been cleared. They have received a ton of rain up there. There was water had no place to go in some of the low areas. Jamie and I cleared some drains to give water a place to go and it helped. I have never seen so much water there in the close to 15 years I've been going there.

If you do more work on Sat or Sun afternoons let me know, I'm usually done with my rides by noon and can lend a hand.
