Not sure how he finished but he looked good.

    Thanks for the compliment Mel.

I finished 16th which was a real disappointment considering I was around 9th going into the last two miles. Too much running and track standing on slippery hills in the first two miles put a serious burn on my legs. I spent the middle 3-4 miles mashing gears to pass folks which led to the leg cramps on both quads at mile 5.5 or 6. Half the folks I passed went by me on one of the last climbs as I hobbled up the hill. The legs got loose enough for me to big ring it the last mile and real back in a couple of them. One of the guys that I know from Pedal masher said he could see the cramps in my legs as he went by.

It was slipery enough that my warm up laps of 50 to 52 minutes turned into a 56 minute loop at race time. That course totally rocks. So far of the new courses (for me) that I am racing this Spring, Waco would be the best training course with all of the short and sustained steep climbs with really tight twisty single track and technical obstacles thrown in. Second would be comfort.
Snoopy was getting old. Had to put him down.

Cramps? Why'd you get the cramps so early in the race?
