MS 150 Houston to Austin April 16-17, 2005

    Hey Bike Mojo!!!

I noticed that several people inquired to George if he was going to do something for the MS 150 Houston to Austin in April and sadly he isn't going to be able to pull it off.

However, me and a colleague are putting together 'Team Wells Fargo'. We learned yesterday that the bank has agreed to contribute a butt load of money to our venture.

So here is the prelim and the W.I.I.F.M--

For a $25 rider fee, the first 150 riders to join the team get a Wells Fargo Team jersey, all the food and beer you can drink and eat in La Grange and Austin, a massage in La Grange, team tent next to the Wells Fargo Stage Coach in La Grange, team tent in Austin, as well as any 'freebies' (i.e. water bottles, chapstick, chamois butter, etc) that Jack the Dog (Wells Fargo Mascot) will be handing out. After 150, the rider fee goes to $50.00. And if for some reason you sign up but don't ride, you will have to either meet your fundraising obligation of $300 or pay an additional $50 towards expenses.

We need volunteers--if you bring a volunteer to us who shows and works, you will be refunded your $25 or $50 rider fee

MS 150 Houston to Austin has a minimum pledge amount of $300, right now you can register for it for $25.00.

We are still looking for the following sponsors--not to necessarily contribute money, but time and services, products, and discounts to Team Wells Fargo riders. In return, there logo will go on our jerseys. So if you know anyone or if you or your company wants to sponsor, please contact me.

    Bike Shop
beer sponsor (we may have one, but if we can have two that will be better)
food (we have one and we need another).

    Please Pass it On!!

If you have any questions or would like to be on the distribution list, please email me at samantha.k.jupe@wellsfargo.com

    Thanks for your help Mojoland!!!!!

I was really excited to have the possibility of doing the MS this year. In the past 10 years I've had a big district wide Arts Festival that has fallen on the same weekend. I've done the MS several times but haven't been able to in recent years. However, now the problem is that the Comfort off road race is the same weekend and that's a race not to miss!
