Well Superman is out of commission for a few weeks. A car turned in front of me on Sunday while I was riding. I was going about 25 mph but walked away with a sprained ankle. Brandon and Ian at the shop looked at my bike today and I'm going to have to get a new one. So It'll probably be a couple of weeks before I have a new bike to ride on, but I may take my fixed gear out there with you guys when my ankle heals if we can find a road without too many hills. I've missed riding with you guys a lot.

Sounds like you guys are the walking wounded.

Superman, sorry to hear about that. It was bound to happen since they came out with that kryponite car paint. Seriously though...I'm really sorry to hear that. I'm just glad you are ok. That sucks about the bike! Is the guy's insurance going to pay for your new bike? Did he get a ticket or anything? Wow, that's pretty scary.

Rickey, hope your back feels better. Heard you had been doing some remodeling at your Mom's.? That how you hurt your back? I'm itching to ride... this Sat. and Sun. stuff just isn't gonna cut it. Although I've been riding some with Suzanne and she doesn't let me slack off. I miss my buddies though.

Ok guys, hope you heal soon. I need you out there pushin' me. Let me know when you're back on your bikes. I'll probably bug ya again in a week or so.

Yeah he got a ticket; He failed to yield to the right of the way turning from a left turn lane. I'm pretty sure his insurance is going to cover everything, but you know that can take a while. I'll be riding my fixed gear for a while, but hopefully the new bike will be super sweet

Superman, I wanna see your bike!!! What did you get? Want to ride Tuesday (tomorrow the 10th) at 5:30 from HP? I'm going to give Rickey a call and see if he can make it. We can take it easy if we need to. The weather is supposed to be great. Let me know.

We are still riding on Saturdays...I just saw your message today! This coming Sat. is the breakfast club ride though.

Well turns out I have a bulging disc in my back and the doc said the worst thing I can do righ now is to get on the bike. So I'll be doing physical therapy for the next few weeks, but the doctor said his goal is to get me back on the bike as soon as possible. On the bright side he said I can still go the they gym and ride a recumbant.

So bike bike is just sitting there collecting dust. It is a Bianchi 928 carbon L with campy record parts.

Hopefully soon I can get back on the bike soon.

Providence Hospital is having their annual picnic in the park Saturday. I called the city and the park will still be open to the public. Parking will most likely be hard to find. I plan on riding and will be there at 9am. Superman I hope your cape is magic and your back to flying high and fast now. You have one big advantage. Youth. RickeyT

    Yeah, Rickey

RickeyT's odometer turned to 10,000 miles last Saturday, May 5. I suppose its time for him to decide if he is going to be serious about this bicycle riding stuff. Bob
