1.1" of rain officially at the airport for the last 24 hrs. I got 1.7" in my rain guage. I will most likely wait until Monday and do a night ride.

Trails are in great shape. Get out and ride.

Note: A pack of coyotes has been seen in the area of weber run. Four coyotes and a dog or two. I have seen one coyote running down weber run to where it splits and crosses the creek.

Well, the one trail I got to ride today was in excellent shape.

*I'm going to need a fill in for the next six to eight weeks.

    new trail sections

I gush appreciation for the work done to expand the trail network. I had not been on the trails for a while until Tues and I am excited to see if the rain had a profound effect on the pack.

The trails were pretty wet this morning. Might want to avoid the slow drying ones until at least Friday afternoon.

    Tuesday Morning

1.5" of rain this morning. More in the forecast. Takes around 48hr or so for the majority of the trails to dry out after that much rain.

Try to refrain from riding the twin log section of California, probably Arroyo, and Dead River. I would also say Highlander and some to the new trails, but with the race coming I don't see people staying off of them.

Windy and sunny today. Would imagine that the trails will be perfect tomorrow afternoon.

Some guy had to be rescued Sunday after he got "stuck" trying to climb one of the cliffs. Now they may have to post "no climbing" signs on the River Trail.

Has anyone ran into swarms of bee's out in the trails? Yesterday I was out near the new trails and stopped for a second, and it sounded like there was a gazillion bee's. I turned around and went the other way. Maybe i'm just hearing things, lol, I didn't want to find out for sure though, after seeing all the reports of Africanized bee's on the news here.

It wasn't no cassette. I might go check it out again on Sunday and see if it doesn't rain.
