    Tuesday 7/24

Was there much rain there yesterday? I'm thinking about riding this afternoon if it's dry.

I don't think it got much if any rain. The airport reported .05" and we didn't get any at Bosque/New Road, but the rain has been patchy lately.

It had definitely rained at some point, but the trails were great -- a few DGRs and one spectacular crash.

    Trails are nice and dry.

I didn't make it down the River Trail, but the river has gone down about 5 feet. It's going to be one gaint mud pit though.

Wow. You would think it was almost summer. The trails could use a little rain.

I didn't ride the whole River Trail, but the bridge by Twin Bridges is no longer underwater.

    Cameron closures

Per a brief in today's Waco Trib, parts of the park will be shut down today through Friday. The park rangers are doing some sort of construction throughout Cameron, and apparently it will affect some of the trails, namely those that feed into Lover's Leap, Emmons and Circle Point. They will post daily closures on kiosks. I hope to go out there today to see which trails these closures really affect. Of course, you can also call the rangers after 9 a.m. to get the scoop. I think they are just closing the River Trail in portions because they are working on the walls up top.

Affirmative on that. I didn't experience any troubles on my morning ride.

I think it only spit Friday. Other than that, no, it's been dry.
