Tree down on Colorado.
Even though there was a big green blob on the radar right before I rode, the trails were dry and dusty.

Biker bash in Cameron East -- that is the other side of the river than the trails.
Waco Wild West Century -- some of downtown and by the zoo may be blocked.
Someone is marking the trails -- run this weekend???

Dry and dusty.
Time to start lugging the lights around. Some of them trails get pretty darn dark.

Still dry, but the cobwebs should be cleared.

Dry, dusty and COOL.
Exciting moment for the day: Getting a spider web and spider full in the face right before the steep part of Batcave.![]()

Nothing exciting tonight except for maybe the dead end at the bottom of Lawson.
Arroyo East has been closed, the entrance to Arroyo West has been moved 20 feet farther down the trail to the trail head of the new trail(Sidewinder) and the bottom of Lawson has been 'changed'.

Sidewinder is frikkin' hard being loose.

Wow, the trails are dusty. The little rain we got this moring didn't even slightly dampen the dirt. Some of the leaves were a bit wet and slick, but that is it.

Hopefully it won't rain for the Saturday after thanksgiving Gorilla panty ride.
No rain yet. Trails were still dry and dusty this afternoon.

Trails were decent. They could probably use another day to dry out.
The top of Clif's cliff felt like riding on sponge cake. I imagine that Sidewinder is the same way.
Be careful going down Shyst as there are a few new ruts.
Not much debris on the trails -- just a few small branches here and there.

Trails were great last night. Well, except for that tree that reached and grabbed my handlebar.
I did have one of those moments last night. I was flying down the long hill on Webber's Run when my helmet hit an overhanging branch. The punk branch placed a leaf perfectly over my light with absolute darkness ensuing. That was fun.

Trails looked good today! Lots of leaves down make for a slippery fun time.
I'll ride tomorrow and update for Sunday....I plan on riding Sunday afternoon if the weather holds.
We;ve been getting heavy dew/drizzle overnight and early morning, but I was out hiking this morning around 9, and the rocks didn't seem slick.
Sunday will bring a lot of change to our weather in Central Texas, mostly resulting from a strong cold front blasting through our area during the day. The front should move swiftly through our northwestern counties, where temperatures will fall from the mid 60s in the morning to the mid and lower 50s by early evening. But during the day, the cold front will likely stall across our central viewing area, with temperatures in Waco, Temple, and Killeen staying in the 60s through most of the day. And in our southeastern counties, temperatures will warm up once again ahead of the front, with afternoon highs as warm as the upper 70s!
