It's usually not marked until real close to race day. The locals have a habit of tearing down signs (both race signs and trail signs )

If you need a guide, you could post here and I'm sure someone would be glad to show you the loop. There's always going to be at least one person riding daily. I ride 5 or so times a week, and a friend who lives next to the park rides daily, sometimes more than once a day.

Also, Sundays are the Waco Bicycle Club ride. It meets at Redwood Shelter at 2 pm, and we sometimes do the race loop.

Trails were good today. Still some muddy spots on the river. Horsecrap everywhere from those guys riding on Sunday afternoon.

But dry enough to hammer up the climbs? Looking at a Sunday morning ride.

Some of the rockier climbs were slippery on Tuesday. I'm about to head out today, and will post current conditions. I imagine that everything should be good by Sunday.

    Primo conditions.

Saw a group of runners (one was my Christian ethics prof!) marking a course out there, so I'm guessing that some running event is going to be taking place this weekend.

They are pretty good about cleaning up stuff, but they occasionally miss unblocking a few trails, but it is usually little stuff.

Still dry. Lots of wind today. Few branches here and there.

Dry and dusty. Sure hope we get some rain before the race.

You think it will be dry enough to ride this Sunday providing it stops raining today?

it might be dry enough by Sunday depending on what the weather does this weekend. the rocks will still be slick but the trails should be tacky but not to muddy except in spots will be muddy

I just looked at the race course. You should have no problems.

Maybe some wet leaves(beginning) and greasy areas on Weber's Run(the downhill after the foundations).

Please remember it is a multi-use trails and is only closed on the race day Sunday. The river trail is heavily trafficed by runner/hikers/kids. There is also a regular group of equestrians that rides on Sunday -- even when there is two inches of rain the day before. I do find it funny though that the rules say hikers/runners should yield trail to bikes.

rode today. trails are great with only a few slick muddy turns. the real traction issues are roots and rocks, as usual. they's be slick! river trail has standing water, big shocker.

no more rain and the trails will be great sunday.

We got over an inch of rain Monday. It's foggy this morning(tues), but the sun is suppose to come out so the trails should be good tomorrow afternoon(wed) unless you're special then you can ride in the mud today.
