    Construstion update

The River trail is completely open -- no closed trails at present.

Lover's Leap is closed to car, but there is parking by the baseball fields.

They leveled the Redwood Shelter, but I believe the parking lot is still open.

Jacob's Ladder is fenced off for updates.

Trails were nice today. Starting to dry and get some loose scrabble.

    Correction:

Redwood Shelter lot was fenced off.

You can park under the bridge or further down in the Pecan bottoms parking lots.

redwood was always convenient to change at and take the pre-ride dump when necessary---are there any other open "facilities?"

There are bathrooms by the water park and up the hill by Miss Nellie's.

    Sunday morning

Dry and powdery --- probably going on a month with no rain.

Johnie was closed from the mouth of the Bosque to the top of the step climb...looks like they are running electrical poles down from Emmon's Cliff to the river for the new parking lot.

They were also doing work on the River trail by MCC...rebuilding a bridge to make it horse worthy I guess.

    Sunday morning

Already drying out...dust a bit slippery or it could have just been my front tire going flat.

Same as it's been for the last five years.

Though I'm almost out of spares so I'll have to see what I can find on sale this time.

Don't trust Loco -- he changes tires almost as often as he changes road bikes.

    seat angle??

I have been running a 2.35 tubeless Crossmark rear, and WTB 2.55 Weirwolf LT in the front. Seems to be a good combo. I really liked the Smallblock 8, but kept killing sidewalls up here..

    How are the trails now?

Looks like the Waco area got a lot of rain yesterday and is getting more today.

If there isn't any more rain in the area tomorrow, do you think the trails will be ok to ride on Saturday?
