Trails are in great shape right now. No rain for a week or so.

Any chance CP is gonna be open 12/26? Just got my son a new bike and we want to go ride. Everything in DFW is closed

It would be really cool if there were a number to call to check trail conditions. I`d rather not drive to DV today and wade across water but I don`t want to drive an hour+ to get to CP and it be closed.

    Sunday

Trails were 95% dry. Actual wet spots in some places*...seeps?

    River trail was pretty wet.

*Mostly on Powder Monkey, Weber's Run and the River Trail

I wish I didn`t even have to ask, but any chance the rain we`re getting up here is missing you guys? My kiddo would LOVE riding CP and we don`t have any plans for tomorrow...

    Sunday

    That rain was not forecast.

The trails were still in good shape, though, with lots and lots of DGRs.

Yeah, the rain put a damper on our spirits as we were pulling up. The trail was in surprisingly great shape, even after that short dump of precipitation. We didn`t get to the section of the trail we drove down to ride (specifically the vortex and surrounding sections) as my kiddo was cold and wet but we had a good time. There are some absolutely fierce descents out there!

Is it possible to park by the baseball field and hit that section first?

Nice to meet you Wumpus, I`m sure we`ll run into you again sooner or later. CP was always one of my favorite trails!

You can park by the baseball and ride outback --> powder monkey --> weber run --> to vortex

    OR

straight down baseball and up erect to vortex,

but you have to do an up and down to get there.

I like 'mouth of the bosque' for a starting point if they ever get it finished. There is also a little pull out at the bottom of Colorado(bob sled run) about mile marker 1.6-1.8(?).

Hey Wumpus, is there a trail map online somewhere? We`re panning a trip down next month for my birthday and there will be several people of varying levels of skill who will want to ride different routes. It would be cool if we could determine meet up points ahead of time...

    Trails should be great.

The Sunday ride is starting at the Marina.

hey I have quite a few guys coming up from Austin on Sunday could one of you guys post the conditions tomorrow. I used to run for baylor, so I know the trails fairly well and know it usually takes quite a bit to make them unrideable. Your help would be much appreciated.
