Sometimes gnarlier is not better. Several of these small/medium features mixed into a trail can add a lot to the whole experience.

Some shots from our June trip to Highland MTB park.

Small drop feature on Cat's Paw:

    Larger drop on Hellion:

Smaller road gap dirt jump feature on Hellion:

Not sure what they called this feature, but it was rad to look at and also easier to ride than it looks.

Curved slant wall with a gap to dirt landing

Medium drop feature on Cat's Paw

    Natural rock-ride feature

    Bridge over trail

It's no joke - biggest features I've seen in North America (except maybe the pro-line drop on Sidetrack at Whistler).

It's pretty technical. I rode it with a rider from Red Bull and we both crashed exactly where I thought I would: the wooden gap up into the toilet bowl/mousetrap. We both hit it too fast on the first run. I rode it several times, but never really felt I had that part dialed. We only got to ride it for 2 days and it was raining a bit.

this looks like the end of the ramp/ladder is way too close to the landing. i'm guessing this rider was going so slow, he tried to bail immediately after the ramp.

    Highland MTB Park, NH.

example of what is basically a wood table top, with a dome to make it rollable for non-jumping riders:

My buddy from Vancouver, Jay Hoots, built that. I got to work with him on a DH trail in Burns Lake, BC, and on trails in WI. He knows his shit.

Hans Rey and Danny MacAskill Ride the new Livigno Trails
    Jul 21, 2015

Livigno is expanding: as of last week the Italian bike resort has three new trails on its extensive bike map. Last week, a new route was opened in Val Minor, an important link between Livigno and Switzerland, and on Saturday, Livigno’s long-term supporter Hans Rey and friend, Danny MacAskill took the chance to test the two new flow trails located on the Carosello 3000 mountain.
