    SS Decision Time-P1 or Redline

    Looking to buy an "out of the box" SS

    What are the takes between the Redline Mono ($419) and the Specialized P1($400)

    redlines have 110mm rear hub, right? which is bmx spacing...the P1 will have a 135mm, normal mtb. P1 will more than likely be able to handle heavier riding.

    i'd say P1...

    The redline has a nice ride and has really beefy look ! As far as the 110mm spacing in the rear i.e. the dash of the wheel is more narrow this actually helps the wheel me more rigid! I have road some stuff like city park with no trouble!

    another thing...check out the angles on the P1:
    Head Angle 69
    Seat Angle 72
    Chain Stay Length 414/419 (no clue what that is in inches...16.75"?)

    can someone find the angles on the Redline? i guess around 72/73 (?)...so handling will be different.

    yea- but is the surly at a $400 price point for complete bike? This isn't going to be a main rde. Cosa- Are you on another conf. call?
