Warda is an easy course - not technical, very little climbing. Somewhat boring, actually. In the 12 hour race earlier this year, 1 mile of the course was a ride around a hay field on grass. The biggest challenge there was staying awake all night and dodging trees on the singletrack at night. 90% of the January race will be in the daylight, so it should be easier.

Doc Nolan - the guy that owns the place - is superb, and the camping area is really nice. The Spring event was well organized - probably more so than the 24hrs at Rocky Hill. And the ranch is up for sale, so we may as well ride it while we can...

Hi. Handsome, tall good looking male looking for a non-competitive lout who will take their time on their lap so I can rest and BS real good. I will promise to do the same in retard, I mean return.

I am 80% sure of my walking pass and I am ready to travel and ride in a looney environment. I am even going to ask for a tent for X-Mas (and waste my chance for bike parts). I am into this one neck-deep. Let the fun begin.

Warda is not technical but it is some nice singletrack. Warda has a special place in my heart as being my first race.

Hopefully when it is sold it will remain a biking ranch.

Doc Nolan... what more can be said about the man that hasn't been said numerous times before. For cyclists he put in full restrooms and hot showers in the breezway next to his house.

    Gotta like Doc Nolan:

During the 12 Hours of Dirt he was wandering the camping area with his tools around 3 in the AM

Okay it is settled then, TEAM ROOKIE is Jeff/Middy/Jeff and Scott!

Should our next training session be at Hooters or at a pub in NW SA? Please submit your suggestions....

Now I would like to open the bidding for Carlos' wrenching services at ONE YEAR membership to "Bacon of the Month" Club....

T and select friend or friends will be riding as Team Dead Weight. I am looking for people who would normally do support or who don't feel race worthy, but want to ride a few laps. This is not to see how many laps the team can do, but to see how much fun can be had. BA, Dan, Sandy, Regan????

I have a friend Jim, Clydesdale+ and we are looking for two more. It's all for fun. I promise that there will be no pressures to ride fast. Just to ride.

T_, You already forgot about your Mainland buddy? How soon we forget! Tisk, Tisk!
Do you want answers? I want the truth! You can't handle the truth!

...I'm not going to put you into a woodchipper. The rhetoric on this board is overblown. You're not a child killer or a mercenary.

Can we get past this please? I have never molested any child nor have you murdered one. I apologize for maligning your mother. Even though I cannot remember it, I apologize for it.

Heffyrod is Jeff also. That is who I thought you were after. I asked another large friend to ride because I thought you had things covered for your team. Let's be brother teams and share mechanics. I think we have one and I would like to sponge off of Carlos also.

Who you riding with Jeff (Heffyrod) Team Rookie or Team Dead Weight? We can fill both teams Scott. Rene?

Prediction, I think SA will have it's largest out-of-town showing at this event. Two Kegs this time????? Or is it a take-myself-more-seriously-than-God-ever-wanted-me-to type event?

    Thumbs up Yeah baby yeah!!

OK, Sara Cowles (remember her? She was an honorary guest at the campsite at Bryan) and I are... (drum roll please)

Team Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dum!!

I guess we need to round up some support. I'll pay for as much beer/tequila anybody wants if anyone wants to time-share a support crew.

(Yes, I know that could be a lot of tequila - but support is hard to come by in these days of a tough economy...)

I can't wait, I should be all recuperated by then and in prime condition for the spring season!!

I did the spring 12 hour race at Warda, it's not the "serious" atmosphere like at a TMBRA series race or the 24 hour race. Pity the poor fool who Doc sees without a helmet on their bike - they'll be off the property in no time.

We did the 12 hour race with a 4 man team and only one support person that left at midnight (that race was 6 PM to 6 AM). I think Warda is a little easier on the bike that Rocky Hill is - the bikes held up well.

Has anyone called Bluff Creek Ranch to reserve camping space yet? - it was all taken at the spring 12 hour. We may need to reserve 5 (?) spots in a row.

Weegster, Kiwi, et al., I'm thinking along the 2 person team route myself - I'll try to call you guys this evening.

Hey T, if there is room for one more big guy, count me in... this sounds like my kind of ride! From the looks of things, we could form our own 4-man 1/2 ton category and sweep the division!

Team Dead Weight adds George to the roster. Over 750 lbs with the three of us. Trying to make a half-ton-team here. Any more Clydesdales?

Just called Warda JTC. They want us to be the first campsite and want to know where we all want to be located. What should I tell Susan. Or you can call her and tell her you are speaking for Terry McChesney and would like to have the campsite at X spot. She said the grounds are completely open if we act today or tomorrow.
