Raise your skill level to the level of the trail, don’t bring the level of the trail down to your riding level.
Don't mind me, I'm just along for the ride.

Agreed.
....skip on a ride for tomorrow. All of my bikes need attention first. I also have a lot of paperwork to do for Monday. Damn priorities!!!![]()
I need a ride, even if it is on the road. Where is this thing starting at? I'm not sure I have been to this place you are mentioning.

Head thru Helotes, on your way out the other side of it (where the 55 MPH sign shows up again) you'll see a feed store come up on your right (Nutragena?) and Youngs Fire Protection on the left at a median crossing. Take it, bearing toward the Junktiques barn (30 MPH sign) You'll come up to Helotes Bicycle and Floore's Country Store. If you hit the 4 way flashing light on 16 you've gone too far, take a left at it then a left again and watch for Floore's again. You'll find us.Originally posted by jason ogle

It's damp out there now from an early morning misting. I'm still heading out.
Yeah right, you are just a closet roadie. I know there is one in your garage that has a little dust on it.Originally posted by jason ogle

The shame of it all. It is true I have one of those skinny wheeled bikes. I was caught riding it this morning by a few people who have been bribed appropriately to conceal the truth![]()

Well, three of us held true to the Sunday ride and ran the loop at a lazy pace. Weather was nice and the breeze refreshing. Nice ride... even if it was on the road.
Well i must say that those skinny wheeled bikes make you faster for the off road......right Trapper? heeheeOriginally posted by jason ogle

Lazy pace?! I was dyin out there. hehe. I bought a set of Specialized Fatboys slicks today, so I'll be better prepared for the next road ride. Tested 'em out for a few miles in the neighborhood, and then kicked myself for not buying them before the 27-mile bike ride I just did on mtb tires. Oh well.Originally posted by Trapper

You should see the crazy sunburn pattern I got somehow. For being Cloudy and damp it sure was sunny.
I was thinking of buying a set of these too. Saw them in the mountain bike magazine this weekend. Mag. said they were about $19.99 each. Does that sound about right?Originally posted by Darius

Do you want answers? I want the truth! You can't handle the truth!
...I'm not going to put you into a woodchipper. The rhetoric on this board is overblown. You're not a child killer or a mercenary.
Can we get past this please? I have never molested any child nor have you murdered one. I apologize for maligning your mother. Even though I cannot remember it, I apologize for it.

I'm waiting on a new bb, crankset, and grips then i will be back at it! Till then I'm on the road......I feel like a freakin' roadie!!!!Originally posted by Trapper

$20 is right. I paid $18 at Rideaway after the 10% discount. Don't forget to add a few 26x1.25" tubes.Originally posted by heffyrod

Enjoyed the "lazy ride" on sunday as well, but watch out for nails along the Hwy 16 shoulder as you approach Helotes. They got me. I need some skinny tires also.
Well it looks like Mass still went on. I have'nt had a chance to repair the tires i damaged on Thursdays ride. Maybe I'll have a chance to ride this Sunday morning. I cant wait to get back on the saddle.
