Oh no, that is how I usually come across, even in person. You can ask anyone. Except for Toni of course, because he cannot hear your questions. His ears are still full of saliva

Crusty, i wasn't talking about he complaint part, i was talking about proven facts.

    -------------------

as for wishing that things were more on topic, i can understand.

but, maybe this should have been in the other thread, how about making the initial investment and starting a thread about bike stuff?

you've got tons of riders on here who would be willing to give you info or debate or whatever.

    start one. see what happenes.

    poor toni.

This is all a bunch of real cool, meaningless shit! Too bad we're all not sitting around the camp fire back at Lajitas, Warda, or Flat Rock. Hey, where'd the Yukon Jack get off to?

    Long live the Moj!
    Got Sporks???

Don't give me any crap on the trail! I can find my own, thank you.

It's not the price or the weight of the bike, but the strength & determination of the rider.

Crusty and Everyone who thinks like this: Please don't belittle donations made from a bike shop or any other business because you think there's no cost to that business for that donated property due to some magical accounting thing you call a "tax write off". That's ridiculous if you understand basic accounting. They could have just as easily sold that property and either pocketed the money for themselves or used it to pay for overhead such as their employees, rent, etc. But they didn't. They donate or give away schwag for reasons like building goodwill, getting their shop or product name out there and supporting their local community. NOT because they're just looking for some way to get a tax deduction. They've got plenty of those. Running a profitable bikeshop looks like a tough business to me.

After reading a few posts about bad service, its true giving away one bike will not make me go shop there or to another store who does the same.

I happen to know how a biz is run, and the bike biz is not a easy one, at the same time there are plenty of bad bike shops that employes and owners have attitude problems, and dont know a thing about customer service or public relations (often the same thing)

Giving a bike to the ymca is good, it cost the shop less than 200 bucks most likely and can be used as a tax write off ( it could have also been a last years bike that is harder to sell or to sell it it would be a loss)

That one thing will not make me recomend the shop to people.

Perhaps that one thing may not matter much to you. You also have a right to express that on the internet or in any other forum that you choose fit to do so. I don't know you so I do not judge you. Hell if I knew you I would still not judge you. Thats me complacent and apathetic.

I have an opinion that is different from yours. Take that you crusty person!!!
