I totally echo JMG's statement. This was our first MS150 and it was a pleasure to do it with you George and the other mojo's. Quite a production, I know it wouldn't have been the same doing the MS150 as an individual with his son. Thanks again for everything.

From an article I read before the MS 150, it read that there were about 3,600 registered riders and a projected $1.5 million to be raised. Does anyone know how much was actually raised and how many riders there were?

Just got an e-mail back from Tony Ralf. I e-mailed him after the MS150 about the volunteer that was hit by the car. Apparently the news reports were wrong...................

Sandy, sorry for the delay, but the volunteer is very, very well. I'm just now able to get to my huge INBOX. I spoke with Jimmie Gibbons at home just a few minutes ago. He's feeling very good and planning a business trip for this weekend. If you'd care to share his address with team members, I know he'd welcome the contact!

so he is alive and not dead? Is this a minor detail that shouldn't be corrected in the ex-news?

Anytime I have had first hand knowledge of an event which I also read about in the newpapers it has always had some disturbing errors.

    thanks,fishergirl for the bright spot.

lmao. Yes the spin that the news media puts on stories is much like the whole gossip story. I suppose dead is more exciting than alive and okay and we all want to hear about the dangerousness of these events - and how many people are going to actually look up the facts.

yet last year, when there was someone shooting at the ms150 riders, there was not mention of it in the papers.

Yep, Mr. Z. And what's more disturbing is when you realize that for EVERY story reported in the news, there is a Mr. Z out there with firsthand knowledge shaking his head at how bad they screwed up the facts.
