I rode Salado Creek yesterday for the first time, and I had a blast. Found the see-saw. That was fun. Also saw this guy:

I didn't attempt it though. Next time I go, I'll wear my knee pads so maybe I'll have a little extra courage. I REALLY hope this one doesn't get sanitized. It's just tough enough to be really challenging, but not too dangerous. I don't even want to tell any of my riding buddies about it.

yeah enjoy, it flows across. Just do me a favor & don't flag it, not sure who's been flagging all the trails out there with fluorescent green tape.

I would like to know who does the flagging and why myself. Last weekend someone had moved the log across the trail as you approach the seesaw, I put it back on my way out.

The flags are noobs that think they've just discovered some unknown trails--- and/or boyscouts, campers, hikers, etc. The original flags (mostly orange and faded) are the markers when the trails were first laid out.

I definitely didn't and won't flag, although I'll admit I was following the orange ones pretty closely. I'm new here, but not new to mountain biking.

I rode from the elementary down past the "upper" portion of the greenbelt down to where it started (I think). There was a construction site and overpass where I turned around. 6mi in and 6 out. That bridge was on the western side of the greenbelt in a pretty tough section of trail that didn't look like it had seen a lot of riders.

Anyway, thanks to those of you that gave us this trail. I'll be out there a lot more in the future. If you see a tall skinny guy on the bike in my avatar say hello.

Wow, after seeing that I'm really itching to get back out there. I just got my MB this week from the shop after a month (busted front shock), so I need to get out there soon. The wife has me booked this weekend, but I'll be out there Monday for sure.

Oh, and I don't flag anything, but I do follow them sometimes when I see them.
